Chapter Fifty-three

The next morning, Henry Richard came to his office and met the door locked. He went back to Stacy's desk.

"Hasn't my assistant shown up yet?"

"She's yet to arrive, sir. Do you need anything?" Stacy demanded, smiling lovingly.

"If she's yet to arrive, it means my office hasn't been cleaned yet," Henry replied.

"I'll get it tidied before you blink." Stacy volunteered and took off.

Henry went ahead and unlocked the office It was past 9 am and Eve was yet to show up. Stacy got one of the messengers to clean the office. She presented Henry's schedule stating that Eve was nowhere to be found.

Henry glanced through the paper and sighed. He couldn't recall the last time he had such a busy schedule. He sat and brought out some files from his suitcase while waiting for Eve to show up. He was hoping she could come soonest because there was a lot of work at hand.

Henry wanted to give Eve a call, demanding why she's yet to show up. He later concluded that she was feeling guilty for slapping him
