Chapter Fifty-one

Even though Henry had just asked her to head to his office, Eve acted as if she didn't hear the command. She walked up to Kingsley and Franklin.

"So when are you going out? How about a weekend? We could stay out till dawn on Friday or maybe Saturday. That way, we can get to know each other more." she told them.

Henry was beside her and the men were shivering already.

"I said you should head to my office right now!" Henry said.

"Is there any more work to be done? Besides, lunch hour is not yet over," replied Eve. She glanced at her wristwatch. "There's about five minutes left."

"Didn't you get my message?" Henry asked sounding impatient.

"What?" Eve spat and flipped her hair.

Henry moved closer to her and whispered "I want you in my office right now and don't you dare argue with me."

He turned to the men. "And what are you two still doing here? Is there no work to be done at your departments?"
