Chapter 51

Layla's POV

“Get them you bastards!” Mr Sawyers yelled at his men. “Do I pay you for nothing?” He groaned, limping on his left leg. Seems his leg is broken. I laughed as Alex led me out of the restaurant.

“Thank you, Alex. I feel so safe knowing that I have you.” I smiled, placing my head on his shoulder as we walked to where our car was packed.

He smiled sweetly at me “It's my duty to protect you, Layla. I'm not done with him yet. He will still come back to get his revenge. People like him don't accept defeat easily.”

“I agree. So what do I do?” I asked, a feeling of fear washing over me.

“I will assign a guard to you.” He said.

We entered the car and he drove off.

When we got home we met Emilia, Alex's grandmother in the villa. She was sitting majestically on the sofa, sipping coffee.

I stopped in my tracks. Everytime she shows up chaos always ensues.
