Layla's POV

Should I admit that I'm falling in love with this new side of Alex? I feel like I'm experiencing our love for the second time.

"It's no time to celebrate yet, let's move!" Larry exclaimed, interrupting our moment.

Alex frowned. "Can you please stop interrupting us, Larry? What's your problem?"

Alex turned to me and asked, "Is he really my friend?"

I just smiled, not wanting to get involved in their conversation.

Larry apologized, bowing his head slightly. "I'm sorry, boss. I didn't mean to interrupt. I'm just being cautious. There might be someone in the crowd trying to harm you."

Alex looked around, as if searching for potential threats. "Really?" he asked me, and I nodded in agreement.

"That's how many enemies you have," I said.

Alex sighed. "Let's go, then."
