Layla's POV

What does she mean by he killed his own mother? I wondered as I eavesdropped on their conversation. I glued my ears to the door as I heard Alex's grandmother sob.

I tiptoed after Alex earlier, he was in a hurry that he didn't notice someone silently following him.

“What!” Alex hundred. He must have been taken aback by such revelation.

“What do you mean, I killed my mother?” He asked, his voice shaking.
