#23 Trouble in Paradise

Elsa's POV

It had been a week since that incident, and I was still nervous about it, walking on eggshells around my aunt.

That night, as Jake had warned me, Sylvie did come to check on me. She even tried to sniff me instead of checking on my health. Thank God Jake had asked me to take a quick shower and change my clothes. At least for now, I was not the one she was looking for. But still, the way she looked at me at times made me wonder if she was still suspecting me.

Apart from being nervous and wary around her, I don't regret my decision. I don't think I ever will. I think it was the best decision of my life.

I understand we are still at an early stage. We move too slowly most of the time and at a great pace for others. There were still many things I didn't know about the mysterious alpha wolf. Mostly, why would someone of his stature would someone want to do anything with me? I, given my current condition, health issues, and baggage, was not fit to become his Luna. While I dared to
