Chapter Sixteen

It was all over in a matter of seconds.

Austin was pulled away from me with the force of a hurricane and no sooner had I seen his eyes widen in fear, they were looking up at from the floor, torn from his skull. An unearthly scream echoed throughout the basement before a squelching, tearing sound silenced it forever. I felt something warm splash my legs and tried to blink through my dehydrated fog to see it; I could have laughed from the sheer justice of it, but I was too badly injured. Austin’s eyes, head and heart lay at my feet alongside his torn off genitals.

A wave of exhaustion and relief washed over me and I blacked out for a few seconds, before my saviour released me from my chains catching me as I fell.

“Whoa whoa whoa, not yet. Stay with me”, the firm voice said.

“Wyatt…you came for me…”, I whispered through parched lips.

A large strong hand softly stroked my hair before I felt something wrapped around my body to protect my modesty.

“No, not Wyatt, sweetheart. It’s me, C
