I struggled to pull Erica out of the bar, trying to get her outside into the fresh air. She was dead drunk, stumbling and giggling uncontrollably.

"Erica, come on! Let's get you home," I said, trying to keep her upright.

When we finally made it outside, I realized that there was no driver waiting for us. "Erica, I thought you said you had a driver?" I asked, confused.

Erica burst out laughing, her words slurring together. "I lied! Haha, I lied! No driver, no car...I'm so silly!"

"Why would you lie about that?" I sighed, frustrated. "And now you can't drive because you're drunk. We can't risk getting pulled over for a DUI."

I thought about getting a cab, but then I remembered my brother Toby. I could call him for a ride instead.

Pulling out my phone, I dialed Toby's number, hoping he'd answer. To my surprise, he picked up immediately.

"Hello Toby?" I said quickly.

"Eva??" Toby said, his voice laced with amusement.

"Yes, obviously," I chuckled nervously.
