As I entered my apartment with Eva by my side, I immediately made my way to my drawer, rummaging through its contents with a sense of urgency.

Eva observed my actions, her curiosity piqued.

"What are you searching for?" she inquired, her voice tinged with concern.

"The flash drive," I replied, my brow furrowed in concentration. "You know it contains crucial evidence of Mona's involvement in the murder."

Eva's eyes widened with alarm. "Let me assist you," she offered, her tone resolute.

Together, we combed through every nook and cranny of the apartment, leaving no stone unturned. Yet, the flash drive remained elusive, and my worry deepened, my jaw clenched in frustration.

"Are you certain you kept it here?" Eva asked, her gaze searching mine.

"Yes, I'm positive," I affirmed, my voice firm.
