I stood before the mirror in the room, my reflection shimmering in the soft candlelight. My skin, once pale and sickly from the poison that nearly took my life, now glowed with health and vitality.

I ran my fingers through my long, auburn hair, which cascaded in loose waves down my back, framing my delicate features.

Eden had asked me to dress up, and have dinner with him. This would be the first time in weeks, I would be leaving the room.

For dinner with Eden, I had chosen a gown of deep crimson silk that clung to my curves in all the right places. The bodice was intricately embroidered with gold thread, shimmering in light. The skirt flowed elegantly to the floor, pooling around my feet in a cascade of fabric. My hair was swept up into an elaborate updo, with tendrils of curls framing my face.
