It’s been days since Aries was found dead in the cell, I had been in a state of emotional turmoil. I had felt betrayed that someone close to me had attempted to kill me but I never wanted her dead.

The death of Aries had created a growing distance between Eden and I. At first, I understood his need to focus on the investigation. The threat was real, and he needed to ensure everyone’s safety.

But as days turned into weeks, his coldness towards me is unbearable. He barely spoke to me, his eyes avoiding mine whenever we were in the same room.

He spent countless hours locked away in his study, emerging only late at night when I was already asleep. Even then, he no longer held me close as he used to.

The bed had become a cold, empty place, and the space between us felt empty. Each night I lay awake, waiting for him until I fell asleep. I missed the warmth of his arms around me, the reassurance of his presence. I wish there’s something I could do to help him solve this problem in the
