CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Buried in so much work in my study, surrounded by ancient tomes and scrolls. Fay burst into my study, her eyes were wide with urgency.

“The witch is back! With the Chronos Amulet.” she announced.

My heart raced as I realized Sara’s fate would be changed. Chronos Amulet was a powerful artifact that would enable Esmeralda to go back in time and undo the curse she placed on Sara.

Without hesitation, I leapt to my feet and followed Fay to the throne room. As I hurried through the palace corridors, my mind raced with thoughts of how to protect the amulet and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

When I got to the throne room, I found Esmeralda sitting. She looked drawn and pale, and dark circles shadowed her eyes. The weight of grief and loss hung on her shoulders.

“Where’s Ethel?” I muttered, with a sad feeling of knowing the answer already.

Esmeralda’s hands trembled slightly as she recounted the events that had transpired during their quest for the chronos amulet.
