SARA [THE SHADOW’S PACK]

I had followed Aaron back to The Shadows pack. I thought I could handle whatever Eden did to me. But after he collected his mother’s necklace he gave me, that was it.

I knew how important his mother’s necklace is to him. For him to take it back means he no longer cares and loves me.

As I left Moonstone pack with Aaron, I felt a profound sense of loss, as if a part of me had been left behind with him. I didn’t want to leave but Aaron insisted he’s not leaving me behind.

I knew I couldn’t dwell on it. I couldn’t afford to let myself be consumed by the pain and sorrow that threatened to overwhelm me.

As I rode beside Aaron, I made a silent vow to myself: I would not be brought down by this. I would not let the betrayal break my spirit. I had more to think about now, more to care for; especially the unborn child growing within me.

“Are you okay? Sara.” Aaron asked, he could see the weight of my sadness.

“I’m fine, Aaron.” I replied to him with a smile.
