SARA

Walking through the long corridor, after a day well spent with Fay. She had been a friend and a sister, she cared for me and helped me in literally everything. I am grateful for her kindness.

A soft smile tugged at my lips as I bent down to pick it up, wondering who could have left such a thoughtful gift.

Once inside, I closed the door behind me and brought the basket to the table. The soft, sweet scent of the peonies filled the room as I leaned in to inhale their fragrance, the petals brushing against my cheek.

The simple beauty of the flowers made me smile, a rare moment of peace and joy easing into my heart.

But then, something caught my eye. Nestled among the blooms was a folded letter. My curiosity piqued, I carefully retrieved it and began to unfold the paper, my heart beating a little faster with each movement.

My grip on him tightened, my mind reeling from the revelation. The thought of losing my child was unbearable, and yet, the thought of the child being the one to bring about the end of all werewolves was just as terrifying.Fisher’s eyes narrowed as he considered his words. “The future is never set in stone, Alpha, But if the moon goddess has shown you this vision, then it is a warning; a path that might be taken.“We must tread carefully, for the choices you make now will determine which path your child will walk.” he said softly.Eden nodded, his face grim. “I’ll do whatever it takes to protect my family… and our kind. Even if it means my life.” I shook my head vehemently, tears filling my eyes. “No… there has to be another way. We’ll find it together. I heard she was dead, I would have killed her with my bare hands. I was a man driven by a single desire; power, and I would stop at nothing to achieve it.When I attacked Shadow's pack, it was not out of personal vendetta but strategic calculations. I know the bond of loyalty between Alpha Eden and Alpha Aaron ran deep, and it was only a matter of time before Alpha Eden came to aid his ally. The ambush was meticulously planned, every detail accounted for. My advisor, a master of dark arts, had acquired potent black magic, specifically designed to weaken Alpha Eden’s formidable strength. We needed to cripple his wolf, to strip him of his power, knowing full well that a direct confrontation would be suicide against the Alpha king’s unmatched prowess. When Eden arrived, ready to fight, my trap sprung. My heart ached with the weight of my decision, but I knew what I had to do.Turning to Fay, I whispered, my voice shaking but firm, “Stay here. No matter what happens, don't come out. Do you understand?” Fay shook her head. “No Sara, think about the baby you are carrying.” she sobbed.“ It’s me he wants and he won’t stop. More innocent people would die, I can’t have that much blood in my hand.” I argued.Taking a deep breath, I stood, my hands brushing against the rough walls for support. I pushed open the hidden door as quietly as I could, slipping out into the bedroom. The room was dim, lit only by the moonlight streaming in through the tall windows.
