BLAIR’S POV

After dropping the bomb on Brian, I ran to the room, and cried bitterly.

Now I was sure that I had lost Brian, and not even a miracle could save the situation.

I wished I could explain to Brian, but just as I was about to, I found Jane staring at me, from the attic window.

I knew that this entire lie and pretend thing was going very far, farther than I hoped, but if Jane was willing to live a lie for all the two decades of my life, then I was equally willing to do anything, to bring it all to an end.

I had not lost sight of my goal and I knew just what I had to do, living one day at a time.

My rushing in had woken Ronald up and when he saw me crying, he pulled me in and just hugged me tightly.

Brian did not show up at the dinner table later that night and neither did Ronald.

The house had become quite intense and now I realized that telling lies alone was not going to fix Jane, I had to take a step forward and I knew just the thing.
