BLAIR’S POV

I woke up with a broad smile on my face.

The curtains were closed and Brian had a swell dinner by the side of my bed.

We had had a beautiful time, ending in bed after weeks of having to deal with so much.

“Does this mean we are in a relationship?” I queried rhetorically, wanting to see his reaction.

Brian’s eyes glowed immediately and I couldn’t hide the smile, from seeing him trying to bottle in so much joy.

“Uhm, relationship,” he was stammering.

“If I am going to be in a marriage, I would like to be asked properly,” I said,

“Every step, duly followed,” I added.

Brian had a broad smile on his face.

I had come to terms with the fact that I did not have to run away anymore. Running had not gotten me anywhere.

No matter how hard I tried, I ended up in Brian’s arms anyway, so it was time to quit trying.

While a lot of people say that we choose who we love, we don’t always get to choose.
