CHAPTER 31

Clarisa’s parents were left at the hospital. She was still in the emergency room, under observation.

When Reed and Don Miguel arrived at the resort, Nena greeted them as they pulled up. She was surprised to see Don Miguel with Reed.

"D-Don Miguel, I didn’t know you were here," Nena greeted, trembling. She was scared, fearing that Clarisa might have woken up and told Don Miguel what happened, which led to her losing consciousness.

"Where is your daughter, Nena?" Don Miguel asked directly.

Nena was even more frightened by the mention of her daughter "Has Mam Clarisa woken up?"

"Not yet. That’s why I want to speak with Glenda to find out what happened."

Nena felt a wave of relief when she realized Don Miguel wasn’t yet informed. They needed to come up with an excuse for him.

"Is that so? Wait a moment, I’ll call Glenda back here. I told her to go home for now..." Nena moved away from Don Miguel and Reed to call her daughter.
