CHAPTER 37

When he arrived at the hospital, he found Clarisa’s friends—Patrick, Cyena, and Loren—standing outside her room. They looked at him as if they wanted to clarify something.

"How is Clarisa?" he asked, breaking the silence, as none of them seemed willing to speak.

"She's inside, it looks like she’s asleep... Reed, is it true that you’re also the father of Diana’s unborn child?" Patrick asked, giving him a piercing look while waiting for his answer. Reed felt like he was on the hot seat.

"I-I don’t know. She disappeared for a long time and didn’t show up. The last time we saw each other was at my wedding with Clarisa..."

"If she is really pregnant and I’m the father, I will take responsibility for the child, but I need to be sure. I’ll have the baby undergo a DNA test."

Clarisa’s friends exchanged glances. He wanted to tell them to believe him and not Diana, but he had no evidence. Even he was confused by everything that was happening.
