"Good morning, Grandpa," Clarisa said as she arrived at the dining room, where the elderly man was having coffee.

"Good morning, dear." He stood up and helped her sit down.

"Grandpa, why do I have a new nurse again? Janeth has only been here for two days. What happened to her? Did something happen?"

"I replaced her, dear. Reed asked me to. He thought you might get jealous. He doesn’t want you to feel bad about little things he didn’t even do, so he thought it would be best if I just replaced Janeth."

Clarisa thought about what her grandfather said. Jealous of Janeth? She remembered she had teased Reed, saying that her new nurse was pretty and sexy. She smiled at the thought. She had only been joking, but Reed had taken it seriously. Poor Janeth—she lost her job because of it.

But it was probably for the best. Janeth wasn’t doing her job well anyway, and Maria was much better and more attentive.
