Her husband helped her out of the car once more.

"Lolo, can I stay in a different room?" she pleaded with the elderly man.

"No! You’ll stay in your room with your husband... that’s how it should be. Besides, you need someone with you, even when you sleep, to keep an eye on you," Don Miguel insisted.

Clarisa frowned, while Reed secretly smiled. His grandfather would do anything to ensure they reconciled as a couple.

"Come on, sweetheart... you need to rest," Reed said gently.

Clarisa stormed off to their room, not bothering to wait for him. She was so irritated that she walked off angrily.

When Reed entered the room, she was already sitting on the bed, waiting for him.

"Let’s get one thing straight, Reed! I don’t care if Lolo says we have to sleep in the same room, but there’s no way I’m letting you sleep next to me in this bed! You stay on the sofa, and I’ll sleep on the bed! Understood?"

"Yes, sweetheart..." Reed responded like a child, seemingly just following her lead.
