chapter 006

ALPHA

"Her innocent looks and charming eyes, reminds me of my dad, but why? He was the only person who ever had such uniqueness. " I mumbled in thoughts as I paced through and fore in my office rubbing my hands in curiosity.

"Why can't I get her view off my mind, why do I feel a bond, what could this mean?" Shrivers ran through my spine as I stood still for a min with my hand hanged on my waist, looking up the roof withdrawn.

"You don't seem okay, are you? "

A recognized voice prompt my thoughts back to reality, realizing I've been standing in one position for some minutes absolutely drowned in thoughts.

I looked at the window, the sun was already set and silence had erupt the entire pack. I looked at Simon who stood by the door of my dispersed office with his hands wrapped acrossed each other staring and waiting definitely for an answer.

"Well I think I am, there's just much on my mind right now." I exclaimed my brows frowned Abit as I paced few steps back to my desk, leaning on as I stared back at him, wondering what next he got to say.

He smirked nonchalantly, making a turn about exiting my office with no response to my reply, not like I cared anyway. Immediately he quickly turned like something was forgotten.

" What's...?"

"Before it skips my mind, how did the meeting with the young lady go?" He interrupted my words with as he stared with curiosity.

I grabbed the desk tightly, I could feel a chill breeze blow through arising goosebumps through the whole of me. " Should I ask how he knew her and if I knew her to? who cares anyway so long as she fulfills her propose that's fine." I mumbled as I crossed my arms.

I wasn't in the mood to say further about the lady, for all I cared of was my pack being restored once more again.

"Huh?? Hello...can someone snap it out already. ". Simon added sounding quite pissed with my silence.

"Well the meeting went well, all hopes remain alive and not dead. "

I replied walking out of the office, brushing shoulders with him as he stood wondering only who knows, even though I cared not.

"Get me another beer and meat." I requested as I sat in the bar, "why do I have to suffer this bad? Have I wronged the moon goddess? Isn't she by my side anymore?" I questioned in my thoughts as I gulped my beer with my friends.

"You are the Alpha, you are my son and you need to make me proud. "

"But the disease is disastrously ending the entire pack, haven't I failed already by watching you helpless and unable to cure your infirmity?" I replied my dad as he laid dying on the sick bed.

The thoughts kept playing through my head, my eyes had become weighty as each slide of tears rolled down my cheek, the thoughts of death broke me even more.

" More beer, I yelled at the waiters. " I could feel my heart racing yet in anger, pain and grieve.

"What solution have been sorted for the cure of the pack? A friend exclaimed as we all drank tensely, yet being ignorant to him.

"Probably the disease has no cure, he'll definitely watch us die like he watched his dad." Another friend scornfully replied.

My heart raced even more faster and louder as though hearable to the ear.

I could feel my claws popping out in anger and pain as I strange the bottle at hand. "Poooop" the sound of the bottle sounded, the pressure between my hands had exploded it, everyone became silent staring in shock for some seconds.

"Enough! Enough! You all are meant to be my strength, not against me by saying bad and rubbish words concerning my trial. " I exclaimed with a broken voice.

I picked up another bottle and drank into my pain of grieve, bitterness and agony, my eyes blurred out.

"Ugh... Ouch!" My head banged really bad in pain, i woke up as the sounds of the cockcrow alarmed from distance, the sun rised and beamed on me.

I couldn't remember what had happened over night yet my head hurt really bad.

I paced up seating on the bed, when I realized I had gotten drunk over night and was suffering a hangover already.

"Ivar, set up a meeting with the elders by noon. " I ordered my Beta as I walked into my dispersed office.

I picked up the papers that had been on the floor since the other day and staged my office.

I exhaled in relief as I thought of the curer, something felt right, so I needed to call for a vital meeting.

"Who's there?" I asked responding to the knock at my door. My thoughts snapped off, recognizing who's voice it was.

"Your message has been sent to all elders, so what more can I do for you?" My beta responded still standing outdoor.

"Come in here Ivar, I need you to prepare two of the guest rooms in the pack, ensuring both are gratifying." I ordered my beta as he compiled.

"Praised be my elders, for I bring good and bad new but I shall begin with the bad news." I exclaimed as we all sat in cycle ready to exchange views towards the pack progress and development.

"We have lost a number of our member and strong warriors which breaks my heart, yet it is essential that we remain strong as we hope for a cure. " I exclaimed

"A cure? Death for how long, alpha Bryan for how long do we wait for this cure? Why do we keep waiting and watching our members die till nothing is left?"

And elder blurted out in pain, I could see the tears betraying his eyes.

My heart sank into my belly as the elders began to mumble in low tones.

"Silence please ... So that was concerning the disastrous disease, still on same hand we need to build stronger walls to prevent our enemies from attacking easily, for if our weakness is seen there shall be war. " I exclaimed again as silence erupt our presence.

"Very well then, I would mobilize a number of men who would handle that aspect. " An elder volunteered to work on that as the others complied.

I could feel my heartbeat as I wondered if they would believe my next statement. I inhaled deeply shutting my eyes and exhaled slowly as I opened.

"I've found a lady who can cure the entire pack." I blurted out.

"What? A lady?"
