Seventy Six

KATHY

I had my eyes opened, as gunshots from afar echoed in the air.

“Kathy!!” Damon called out to me.

His voice played over and over in my head, making me alive once again.

Then reality hit me, and then I realized I had been out for a couple of hours.

I pulled my whole self up, holding on to my side which had surprisingly stopped bleeding.

I took a deep breath feeling my side hurting from the thorn and exposed flesh.

I slowly had my hand to the car in front of me as I pulled myself up standing on my feet.

Looking around I realized there were only a few of us left. I searched for most of the other members of the team but I couldn't find any.

I watched Damon running off into the woods with other men fighting off more wolves that came attacking from the woods.

At the thought of most of our team members being killed, I growled.

And then, I shifted.

I had been too weak to move in my human form and so had to shift into my wolf form.
