I was shocked to find him sitting on a chair being rolled out of the ward.

I had my arms wrapped around my chest, as I stood there watching him being rolled out.

Jess smiled, opening up her arms to welcome him out.

I tried forcing a smile as well, as I joined Jess in greeting and having Damon welcomed.

“You look so better now bro!” Jess said, giving him a big hug.

I smiled, staring at him and hoping he wouldn't notice the look on my face.

“Damon!” I said, smiling at him.

And then he had his hands stretched out to be wanting to hold me by the hand.

I held his hand in mine, smiling at him as I had no other choice but to move alongside with them.

Jess was sort of surprised, on Damon’s sudden behavior towards having me around.

And I myself wondered why he suddenly wanted me around.

“Do you feel better now?” I tried to have a simple conversation with him.

“Yes,” he responded.
