Eighty One

KATHY

I paused, staring confused at her the minute she said those words.

“What did you say Joanna?” I asked hoping she meant something entirely different from what I heard.

But then she had it repeated.

“He didn't cause any of this Kathy!” She said holding on to my wrist with her eyes locked in mine.

I stayed silent for a couple of seconds confused on what to say.

“Where is he?” she asked looking around like she was somehow in danger.

Or Henry rather…

“Relax!!” I said rubbing her on the shoulders.

Her temperature gradually started to increase as she moved from left to right on the bed feeling so restless.

“You are beginning to scare us!!” I said looking into her eyes.

I was hoping she would relax and try explaining things better, but instead she got worse.

“Tell us what you mean!” I said looking into her eyes.

“Who did this?” I asked.

And just as I held on to her wrist, I realized there were more scenes I could get from just holding her by the wrist.
