KATHY

I was glad Damon had walked in to stop Liam from whatever he had in mind to say.

“What's wrong Kathy?” Damon asked, rolling his chair towards us.

I hated how it was that he had to be kept in a wheelchair. I guess he had been knocked out by a silver bullet.

He had his chair rolled towards me and stopped at my side of the chair staring at my covered wound.

“What happened to your arm?” he asked.

The minute he asked, the scene of me being thorn in the dark played over in my head.

“I have a feeling that we have an intruder” I said hoping I didn't just sound so out of place, saying what I said.

“An intruder?” Damon asked, looking into my eyes.

“I had heard footsteps down the hallway leading to the stairs and then I approached the sound wondering what it was exactly” I said.

“But then, there was no one there”

“Still, that didn't stop the noise I heard coming from the basement like there was someone there” I said.

“You think there’s someone down there?” Liam asked, interrupting us.
