CHAPTER 11: MEETING THE OTHER HALF

Lawrence's POV

"We need to go, NOW!" Karly whisper shouted. "It's not fair," I said stood frozen watching Oliver's massive frame tower over Alpha Santak. "I don't have time for your insecurities, my lord! We must go!" Karly said sending William a signal to get our horses. "We must go on foot or we will be spotted. Do you not know anything, stupid girl?" I asked dragging her behind me. "More than you, I'm sure," she murmured, but I ignored it.

While dashing through the chaotic streets, my breath hitched in my throat when I saw HER.

"You go ahead. I'll meet you at the wood line where it meets the creek. Wait for me there," I said to Karly. "Don't be a fool," she warned realizing why I felt the need to stop. "I won't. I promise," I lied.

I inched toward Matilda. She still looked as beautiful as the day I realized she was my mate. It's too bad she reeked of Aiken's scent now.
