CHAPTER 13: SHE IS A CRIMINAL

McKenna's POV

"Why did you let her go? It is clear that she is a criminal!" I protested. "Which is why it will be proven tonight," Tavi replied. "How? She will be gone within minutes!" I explained. "You are right, mother. If you must know, there's already someone on her trail," Tavi responded. "You did not raise me to be a fool. I have messed up plenty, but I tend to learn from them," she added. "Of course. I know you do," I said relieved.

After turning in for the night, I got this overwhelming feeling that I was being watched. It made me leery.

"Jamela?" I asked out loud. "I didn't mean to startle you," she sighed. "What are you doing out here? Where's Olly?" I asked worried. "He's helping with the clean up and the list to notify loved ones of the passing of their family members," she answered.

Then it hit me, she had just lost her father.
