Ninety-Five

Sally's POV

It landed on the new scar Kaytlyn left me. Unintentionally, my cardigan sleeve must have popped up without me realizing it. Quickly, I pulled down my sleeves and stood up straight.

I was hoping to avoid him, but instead, he caught me. Concerns loom over his features. Gently grabbing my wrists, he pushed both my sleeves to my elbows and examined the scars. His eyes darkened even more, thinking, it's scaring me.

"What happened?"

"Nothing." I tried to pull me away but failed.

His lips curled into a thin, gloomy line. “Did you do this to yourself?” He asked carefully.

"Are not." I frowned.

“Is that your grandfather?” This time he asked.

“You know, for a man, I would judge a lot.” Tried to ignore him, but failed.

"Scars like these don't just appear on your skin for no reason." He retorted. "I have to believe in something else, the fact that he's done this to you before."
