Sally's POV

She hummed before continuing. "You can take rejection back, only if you are 100% ready to take it back. Like you are sure that this is what you want. So if that is the case, then repeat the words 'I, your name, take back the rejection of his name' because you are withdrawing the rejection, completing the statement with 'And accept him as my mate.' She looked glum as she was instructed to reverse the action.

"Easier said than done. The failure of this process is once you declare your reversal in denial..." She hesitated, wary of what she would say. "You will lose someone you love dearly."

My heart dropped. Frozen in time, I didn't know what else to ask or say.

"Every action has its consequences. You just have to be willing to accept it wholeheartedly."

Suddenly, I remembered the voice in my dream. "To gain something, you must lose something in return. For that to happen, the course is to choose your destiny or let fate choose it for you."

Sally's POV"Where have you been all these years, Sally?" Grandpa asked, his eyes still watering. My tears have dried, I can't cry anymore.Just as I answered, my grandmother came back into the room with a tray of coffee for the three of us to hold onto to catch up with each other. The last time they heard from me was in Paris, the day before things calmed down. Since then, reaching them has been only possible by getting them involved in this mess. They didn't know about my grandfather's passing.“Grandpa… he died the day after I called you.”My grandmother gasped in disbelief."He was assassinated. We had to move out of headquarters and move to Northern France for a year. We moved back to Paris after the burial and left America for 2 years. And came back here recently." I summarize, leaving the part where I was also shot, although it was not my time to go, it felt like it.At this moment, I cannot tell them about what happened to their daughter. "Oh, so you love me when I load your plate with food."Smiling and walking back to her seat, Sally placed a kiss on the woman's cheek and a kiss on her grandfather's cheek. "Good morning,"They responded to the girl's gesture with a gentle smile on their faces. Her grandfather spoke first. "You look like your mother, beautiful." He placed a gentle kiss on her temple as he went to refill her coffee cup. Before Sally's grandmother sat down next to her husband, she put the frying pan back on the stove. "My friend and I went shopping today." Her grandmother excitedly announced.Sally was about to argue and protest, but the woman shot her down faster than any bullet in the world. "Need me to remind you that you brought no clothes, and I don't want you to cause scandal by running around town naked."Looking disgusted, Sally stared at her grandmother, mouth agape. "Why am I running around town, naked, ex

She was only gone for one day."This Alpha male says his name is Ryan, and our niece is his mate." Sally felt her cheeks heat up as soon as her grandfather said that."I'm not his mate," Sally said. The two elders flicked their heads to look at her, frowned, and asked her to explain their situation. "I turned him down."Now, the look on their faces said they didn't see it coming. "Why? If I may ask." Her grandmother wondered.Sally's eyes locked on him the second the question echoed throughout the room before looking away. What surprised her next was that he was the one who answered them. "I broke her heart."Hell, he did, but for her, it was like freeing them from the burden of being partners. She frowned, what annoyed her the most was how he knew about the existence of her other grandparents. Could it be that he went to that old woman for help? Maybe...Putting her sh

Sally's POV"What are you thinking?" His voice calmed the riot in my head. However, I couldn't keep the frown from my face.At first, I was going to ignore him, but I remembered how persistent and annoying he could be if he didn't get what he wanted. "Way to stay away from you," I grumbled."Why?" He asked simply.Frustrated, I responded the way I knew how. Hurt people and push them away. "Because you're suffocating me."Silence loomed in the car like dark clouds hovering above our heads. The only noise that reduces stress to a small extent is the music coming from the radio."Does what happened between us this past week mean nothing to you?" His question cut through the silence. When it comes to protecting myself, this is what I do best. "Is there something to it? I mean, I'm just with you so you can get better. But looking at you now, you look better and healthier than when I first saw you. So, I guess my work is done. And that means I can go wherever I want."From the corner of my

Sally's POVAfter that escape I ran away, it seemed like my grandmother had doubled the security around me. Darius is still there, but in a few days, he will return to his homeland. I will miss him, very much. The meltdown that happened a few days ago showed him how difficult it was to be around me, and it made him even more protective of me than he already was.Going downstairs, I was hoping to leave the house for a while to rest. But what annoyed me was that the whole house was locked. I was on the verge of breaking down the front door until someone walked in.It's Ryan."Think about it, where are you going?" He asked, arching his eyebrows in support of his notion.Agitated by this sudden house arrest, I replied. "Get out.""Why?" He was annoyed. My nose flared angrily. "Last time I checked, this is still my house. Therefore, you have no right to enter here." I tried to avoid him but failed when he stopped me."What's wrong with you?" My tone was interrupted."I said leave me alone.

Third person POVThe night of the third full moon was haunting and cold. Everyone had gone to sleep when suddenly. “Ryan,” She whispered his name in her dream.“I want you to find me and save me.” She said before disappearing into the clearing, in front of him was a waterfall flowing in a stream, the only light source to guide him was the moonlight shining down. The girl is standing by the river bank.Ryan woke up startled when he felt his wolf stand on all fours, his wolf suddenly woke up and got wary before screaming. “She's calling.”He was surprised by the sudden appearance of his wolf but frowned at what he had said as he gradually understood what the wolf meant.“Our partner's subconscious is calling to us.” Where is she?His wolf spoke again. With wobbly legs, Ryan got out of bed, quietly exited the house, and sniffed the air around him, trying to figure out exactly what. When he smelled the faint scent of raspberry vanilla in the air, he followed where it led him to a waterfal

Sally's POVI woke up in bed and the first thing I saw was a black curtain that had never existed in my room before. Frowning in confusion, I looked around the room, and it finally dawned on me that this was not my room. There was a faint scent of vanilla and cinnamon in the air. Why am I in his room? How did I even get here?Gently rolling back, I felt an arm on my waist. Looking up at the owner of the arm, he was still sleeping soundly, looking so peaceful. I didn't have the heart to wake him or push him away.Instead, I studied his features, he was beautiful. His parents certainly did a great job producing and birthing him. The way his eyelashes curled beautifully, how warm his chocolate eyes were when he looked at me, his perfect white skin, his sharp nose, his kissable lips (I can say this because I kissed him ), and when he smiled that place would light up.Ugh… I'm so sad.“Why don't you take a photo, it will last longer?” He said surprising me.Well, now that he's awake, I can

Out of the corner of my eye, I knew Ryan wanted to protest but he kept quiet, which I was grateful for. I need this, I need. After breakfast, Simon took me to their practice area. All are fully equipped and ready to use. They have outdoor and indoor practice courts, and today, they decided to use the outdoors. The warriors even brought out a long table with weapons laid out on it, presumably for me to use.I changed into a black tank top from Athena, and even brand-new underwear. But the shirt I was wearing earlier was indeed Ryan's."Are you sure you want to do this?" Ryan asked, sounding quite scared to me.“This is just a pra

Sally's POVThree months after the devastation, to say things are back to normal is an understatement. Everyone is still saddened by the loss of half of the pack, but they are our heroes, in our hearts and our memories.I returned the next day, with my enemy's head in a sack. I asked everyone in my family if they knew what he had done and was about to do. When I asked about his parents, everyone bowed their heads in respect.Arnav informed me that both of them committed suicide because of the old Donne's rule.I need to abolish that regulation and replace it with a more reasonable penalty. They were both innocent, they were just pawns in the game and they had to pay for his actions, may their souls rest in peace. That night we held a proper funeral for them. We all paid our respects. Our allies also came to pay their respects. The ceremony was over, everyone had gone home and I stayed at the burial site and stared at Oliver's portrait, thinking that maybe I hated him just because he w

Running to his side, Sally immediately cupped his face and called his name.“Ryan,” She started softly, and then gradually she lost patience. “Ryan.”The groan, surprised her, but sure enough, his eyes widened next. "I like hearing you say my name." His voice was hoarse.Unintentionally, she hit his chest before apologizing. "I'm sorry. Oh my God!"“Is that any way to welcome a mate who has just returned from the dead?” He was joking.Sally stared at him and said. "That's not funny at all."Sally didn't waste a second as she threw herself into his arms, crying into the crook of his neck, all the while inhaling his sweet musk. “Please don't do that again.”Ryan wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her tighter, never wanting to let her go again. “I love you too,” Her breath hitched and she buried her face deeper into his neck. After a moment, they let go and looked at each other, looking for more casualties to fi

An Alpha. He should have been cured by now. Unless the wound is caused by silver, pure silver.Sally sobbed endlessly. She felt everyone's eyes on her, rage filling her entire being. “Let's capture the rogues and find Oliver Donne. Now."Sally's orderly roar echoed throughout the area. Picturing a mental image of what the despicable man looked like only made me angrier. And as if they saw what was going on in my head, they barked orders at each other and ran away in different directions.“Please wake up. Ryan!" She shook her head. She looked around. “Can you guys link up?”It looked as if they were trying to communicate with each other through their minds, and they looked frustrated by it.“No,” Linus said. She is upset.“There is magic here, blocking all of the swarm's mental links to each other.”Sally looked at something behind Allen. “Is that my sword?”The boy nodded with a slight smile. “My mom said you'd be here, so…” He handed the weapon to Sally.“Thank you, Allen. Sally's POVMy whole life has been a lie. I can't even handle this right now. Slowly, lowering myself to the mat, I sat and stared at the flashbacks of my life before and after everything that had happened.I remember my grandmother always saying that I was royalty in their eyes, supposed to rule the world with Ryan's pack. And she continued to emphasize the two nouns, King and queen. Also, every summer vacation when I was young, my grandfather would show me off to his guests, which made me feel very uncomfortable. And it got to the point where I remember my mother having to take me for a walk every time someone passed by."And I know you saw something in your dream, Sally. You looked pale when you walked in here." She was silent for a while. "Is that your mate? Did he call you?"My silence is the answer. Even though I tried to deny the fear that the dream brought me, I couldn't, it still lingered in my mind. The image of Ryan covered in blood and pain, stuck. At least I have to know

Sally's POVThought going to bed would be the best idea for me, but turns out, it was the worst idea. Because not long after I closed my eyes, my mind took me to a strangely familiar place."Sally, help." A whisper rang out around me.Standing in the middle of a barren field, 50 yards away from me, Ryan stood sullenly, his face pale, his right fist clutched tightly to his hip.I shivered as the cold wind whipped my skin but my eyes never left him. Is he okay? Why does he look so sick? When I looked closely at his deathly curled fists, they were covered in blood. Why? Whose blood is that? It can't be his, right? What happened?“Ryan,” I called, but no sound came out. I called again and again until I was tired and my throat became hoarse. He just stared at me with pain in his eyes.He may be standing but his eyes say otherwise. The light in his eyes was gone and I wondered if it was my fault.Looking closely at him, I felt like he was gone a long time ago and this was just an illusion.

You should be careful."I nodded in response. Then he replied through my makeup chat. “I'd love to, but I'm going to apologize and spend the week preparing for what's to come. You are invited to my coronation.”“You should be careful too.” I wrote again. He gave me a quick nod with a forced smile and left the room with his men.Kingsley turned around just as the young leader went out, quickly rushing to my left and whispering. “Something has changed here, Luna Sally.”“I know, I can feel it too.” I looked at him from a very close distance. “I need you to find someone, if he's not here that means he knows I came looking for him.”He left me in the office to plan while he went looking for the given name. Sally's POVWe arrived at headquarters three hours later, I had to match Kingsley's pace because he was such a weak bird. So as soon as my feet touched the ground, I rushed to find Arnav. "What's going on?"“The Alexander clan attacked us.”“Ub, I understand that part, but what exactly happened?”Arnav sighed first. “Goray Alexander was murdered, and the Alexander family suspects us of being the culprit.”I frowned at the news. “Why am I just hearing this now? Why did the Alexander clan suspect it was us? Do you have any other sources to find out who killed Mr. Goray?"From a maid in the house, I slipped off my coat. “Find me something, Arnav. We need to clear our names as soon as possible before something unspeakable happens.” I gave the order and went straight to my office.I was startled to see Kingsley behind me, I forgot that he was also with me. “Let's make you feel at home while I deal with all this.”He remained silent while panting from the flight and the energy he had to put

I followed a beautiful floating white orb that led me to what felt like a 5-minute walk to an abandoned warehouse.I hesitated to enter the building, but the ball went straight through the wall. Sighing, I followed it through a small entrance. As soon as I stepped inside, a shrill scream echoed throughout the space of the warehouse. The screams of a man and a woman rang out again, sending chills down my spine.Approaching the noise, I hid behind pieces of plywood. My heart stopped beating for a split second when I saw my parents in the middle of the room.My mother was stripped of her clothes and every ounce of dignity, tears streaming down her pale and bloody face.I wanted to scream and help her, but I couldn't move and not even a whisper came out. I could only cry and suppress the anger welling up inside me.My dad, on the other hand, looked completely devastated. I held my breath as I watched him cry, pleading with the men around them who look
