Sally's POV

He shot me a look. "You know it's not like that."

My eyes narrowed in disbelief. "Really? I don't think I understand what you mean, so please, enlighten me."

He sighed dejectedly. "Look, I know I was wrong. But could you not hold this against me the whole time I'm trying to be civil to you?"

With obvious amusement in my eyes, I frowned. "So what you're trying to say is that you're forcing yourself to talk to me even though you don't want to."

"Not so." He sighed for the tenth time. "I am truly, sincerely, and honestly trying my best to make peace with you and resolve things between us."

I reached out my hand almost immediately, telling him to stop. "First of all, what peace are you talking about? If this was about 3 years ago, then know that I've long since forgotten it. And second, there's nothing to work on between us, we're fine the way we are. hey. You mind your own business while I do the same. Now, that's peace."

"No, no," He bowed his head low before facing me again
