One hundred

Sally's POV

Place my elbow on my inner calf. "Am I your disappointment? Mom? Dad?"

I felt tears welling up in my eyes again, blurring my vision before I blinked them away.

That's when I had nothing more to say, I realized I didn't have a coat. I left the house with just jeans, a short-sleeved T-shirt, and a pair of trucks. Rubbing my hand on my arm to find the heat, I hugged her to comfort her.

Just then, I felt a warm coat placed on my shoulders. Tilting my head up, I saw Ryan looking down at me with sympathetic eyes.

If this were any other normal day, I would chew his head off, but today I'm too tired to fight. So. I remained quiet and sat still, waiting for him to take the space next to me.

I pulled his jacket closer to me, his scent immediately calmed me down. "How long?" is all I asked.

"Because you asked them why they had to die like that?"

Sitting up straight again, I rubbed my hands together for more heat. I had stopped crying at that point, but the tears started flowing again
