Nolan had said he'd give me a month to decide the course of our relationship, but he had told the elders about my pregnancy.

My expression darkened instantly as I pulled him aside.

"What do you mean by this? Why did you tell them about my pregnancy? Are you trying to force me to be with you, Nolan?" I confronted him.

However, Nolan acted as though he hadn't heard me. He picked up a napkin to wipe the sweat off my face instead.

Ignoring my question, he continued to fuss over me.
