JIM AND LILY

Jim who was a bit shy had always admired Lily from afar but since she was Tina's best friend her buddy’s wife Jim did not know where to start. Ken had watched and seen his eyes following Lily with admiration and when they went hunting Ken had brought up the discussion. “Brother what is between you and Lily?, I have seen you guys stealing glances at one another”. Jim confessed I have always admired her but I don’t know where to start”. Ken said do you want her as a fling like your other women if that is the case man I‘ll forget we are friends you know she’s my wife’s best friend or like a sister I don’t want your relationship to break my family. Jim said seriously man I feel like I have gotten the woman of my dreams and I don’t want to waste her time. I need her to be my future wife she looks like a responsible lady. So Ken told Jim if that’s the case you have my blessing brother. Welcome to the family this would bring us more closely than we already are. So when Tina said she was tired she wanted to rest Ken winked at his buddy and they wished them goodnight. Lily wanted to go and sleep but Jim insisted that he needed company please let me have a few drinks with you don’t have to sleep early love like Tina her condition allows her to be sleepy all the time. Lily replied, I miss my little sister and now I believe she belongs to Ken he took her from me.

Jim seriously enquired what’s your story because you don’t share the same surname. It’s a long story but let me tell you she thinks I found her but in fact, she is the one who found me I was lonely my parents are professionals and all they do was work and work and had no time for me I was kind of very lonely and when I found Tina seeing how miserable her uncles and his wife treated her I invited her to my house and we became very close until my parents had to seek a legal way to be her guardian until she was of legal age. I appreciated the fact that she kept me company I didn’t have to look for friendship and the wrong company if you know what I mean Lily stated. Jim replied, I know because Ken has been my buddy ever since high school and throughout his friendship, I kept away from the wrong company. Most of my buddies or bad boys as they were called in school are drug addicts and some gangsters that are locked in county jails because I came from the hood if you know what I mean. But I am polished lead a clean life has my business and I need a woman to spend the rest of my life with just like my brother Ken. I envy him but the lady Tina was a big blessing to us guys we were living a life of hit-and-run with women but ever since Ken met Tina he is a changed man. I want that with a lovely woman like you Lily I don’t know what do you think of us starting a relationship?, we can make a great couple don’t you think so. 

Lily was short of words to say she has always admired Jimmy as she called him and since they were always together because of Ken and Tina but she never thought they will be a couple but friends. But he was handsome, intelligent, and compassionate she had noted that when they met when Ken had broken up with Tina and she admired him but had never thought of them becoming a couple but here he was confessing to her that he felt attracted to her and wanted them to give a relationship a chance. Lily was not in a relationship and since she liked Jimmy she would give a relationship a chance.  

Then they talked about their experiences, hobbies past relationships, and heartbreaks and found that they had a lot in common. So when Lily said she’s adventurous Jim recalled that on some holidays they used to go hiking on the mountain with Ken during holidays or when they came camping. An idea crossed his mind why don’t we go hiking tomorrow? He asked Lily with enthusiasm. Seriously Lily said I would love to but I don’t have camping gear. Jim said don’t you worry what's your shoe size and pants size she said size 40 shoe and 28 pants. Jim said to leave it to me lets go rest we have an early day and will call you up at 6 am. We go hiking early before the sun rises. Okay goodnight they hugged and Jim kissed Lily on the cheek causing her to brush and they went to sleep in their respective beds. Sweet dreams my love and dream of me Jim whispered to Lily wow so sweet and they went to sleep. That day Lily had a dreamless night sleeping with a smile on her face and dreaming of Jim kissing her and making her moan with pleasure when she had her phone ring and opened her eyes wondering where she was but the birds singing in the wee hours of the morning was music in her ears making her recall her whereabouts and pick the phone to see Jimmy calling her up. She answered hello in her sleepy voice and Jimmy told her to dress up her clothes and shoes at the door so that they can go hiking.

Lily dressed up in a hurry and found Jimmy waiting for her in the kitchen where he had prepared some black coffee blending it with whisky to warm them up and putting it in a coffee jar for them to carry plus some snacks. We don’t need to carry lunch we will be back on time but I have carried water and some packed juice. Lily looked nice in her khaki trouser, safari boots and hat plus a warm jacket and thanked Jim for the clothes and since he had seen the tag they were expensive from a designer he wanted to refund him the cash but he refused and said that what friends are for. If you want to thank me just enjoy the hike and the view I want the trip to be one of the many memorable adventures that we will be having in the future. Lily liked his confidence and asked?” one of the many?” yes darling Jim replied I am planning on spending a lifetime with you so we leave now before we wake up the love birds. Lily couldn’t agree more. Before they left Jimmy as Lily loved calling him texted Ken telling him where they had headed to with Lily in case they were wondering and should not wait for them during breakfast they would be back by lunchtime but Tina should not think of starving herself waiting for them to return. Ken smiled at that statement and that’s how Tina woke up and saw him she frowned wondering if it was a woman they were communicating with. but Ken showed her the message and Tina had not seen it coming. “Lily is with Jim,” she said surprised, I didn’t even guess. Yeah you have our babies to mind about so don’t you worry Jim had indicated he felt something for Lily let's see where it leads. Wow, that would be great I hope it works out both agreed.       

Tina and Ken had their breakfast together and Tina who was feeling sleepy went back to sleep in her bed she was feeling very tired and only wanted to sleep. She had back pain at night but she and Ken thought it was because of the camp bed mattress which was a bit hard than they had been used to so they decided today afternoon they would go back to the lake house the environment was conducive and the bed more comfortable. They would not go to the main house yet because Tina was not comfortable in the urban setup.
