THE TWINS BAPTISM

Tina stayed in the hospital under the doctor's observation. She needed to rest; her condition was delicate and heal from the surgery. After the first week, the nurse in charge could wheel her to see her kids growing up well, which made her happy. She was very excited to see her small angels grow up and promised to love them till the end. Most of the day she was never alone she had Stacy, Aunty Cherry, Ken, and Jim who were always there to visit her. Lily stayed back for several days but there was an emergency at work and had to rush and sort the issue fast. Although Tina missed Lily she was glad of the newfound family she had assisting her and taking care of her needs and she didn’t have to worry about anything more than getting well soon.

Ken was in the hospital most of the time and he practically camped in Tina’s room with his laptop. Although Tina was in staying in a pavilion and had a place for visitors and a table for working Ken would not be convinced to go to the office and leave his family in the hospital. He felt it was his obligation to take care of them that made his father Mr. King senior very proud of his son and happy that he had become grown up and settled. After a week the doctor called Ken and told him that he would discharge his wife three days after the review since she had recuperated very well. Ken organized with the family doctor about transferring the infants home together with the mother and two nurses were referred to him among them an elderly lady in her mid-fifties Jenny also a retired medic but we're working to assist her sick daughter and her granddaughter.

On the day of discharge, Ken came to pick up Tina but the infants were to be carried by ambulance to the house since they were still breathing through the machines. They were moved to their specific room where all the necessary medical facilities were installed and the paramedics were ready to assist but Jenny was the one in charge of taking care of the babies. Tina was assisted by ken and went to see her babies who were growing well then was taken to her room to sleep because she was already feeling weak due to the journey from the hospital. Stacy the granny was the one in charge of overseeing the infants were well taken care of and she gladly accepted the role of assisting in nursing her grandchildren. 

The three mothers and kids recuperated well with home care doctors and nurses and after a month the kids could feed on their own and breathing was at ease Tina could come to the nursery and help in feeding them and was glad when the machines were removed from the room especially the oxygen because it gave them hope that her babies were going to be fine. She was glad when the pediatric doctor came and said that the babies were out of the woods and could now start living and feeding naturally. They celebrated the one-month birthday of the babies with them getting more toys and beautiful baby cribs. The infants were dressed in nice baby wear and were taken photos with their parents and grandparents.

That is what gave Mr. King senior and when he said a thing it became a command, he suggested why don’t we have the kids baptized and named this Saturday his word was a law and the balls started rolling. Although it was meant to be a private affair anything that was done by the King’s family was bold to turn out to be a grand ceremony. Lewis, Jimmy, and Stacy started with the event planner they had the best thyme being blue since they were boys who were getting christened. They had an impromptu meeting and the event planner was told to note that money was not the problem but the work to be done had to be at par. The event planner had a few days to plan the event which was to be done in the baby's grandparents' residence since they were restricted from movement.

Different people were allocated different duties even Lily who had gone back home was called by Tina since she had to be present as the godmother. The dress code was white, silver, and sky blue. She booked her flight immediately with the assistance of Jimmy who was waiting for her at the airport and couldn’t get his hands on her he had missed her a lot. They went directly to the king's mansion to assist in the jobs which had not been done. Stacy was busy with the decorators, aunty Cherry was overseeing the people cooking although it was not a big party the food had to be on spot. Mr. King senior was the one who contacted the parish priest who would baptize the kids. Ken was to take care of his wife and kids' welfare so he called a designer to fit his family and the godparents with the dresses and especially the infants he wanted them to look good. When Tina saw she said thank God you are here I was wondering when you’ll come this is the godmother and godfather please take their measurements and the clothes should be identical like a good couple should be she said smiling making Jimmy grin and Lily brush. Tina seriously, Lily said I am glad now you are here because I was so lost without your wisdom come I take you to the infants they haven’t seen their godmother in a month and I am grateful you’ll assist me in running most of her errands because I am not yet back to my feet. Lily hugged Tina and said my pleasure sister let me help you on your feet I can’t wait to start but before let me clean myself in my room and change because I  will find you in the nursery when I am clean.

Lily had a quick shower changed her clothing and went to join Tina who was cuddling the babies who were so tiny but looked adorable and fragile. They each held a baby and feed them with the direction of the nanny and the babies were to be held up to wind up and release gas. Lily found them so fragile but loved every moment and also was happy for her friend who looked so fulfilled and the mother's role suited her perfectly. They cuddled the babies until they were asleep then left the nursery.

They left the house and were dropped at the spa treatment because it was a long time since  Tina had visited the salon to do her facial, pedicure and manicure, and aroma therapeutic massage which would relax her muscles and make her feel rejuvenated and also her hair needed some treatment and hairdo to look more beautiful and some trimming. Ken had insisted on taking them but his father refused He said he had a lot of errands to run but Jimmy can take care of the guys. Lily did not mind tagging along because she also needed to spoil herself and feel good.

Jimmy joined Lily in the spa and Tina had her special room and a special team to take care of her and they all assisted because they had been instructed she needed to be attended to quickly and carefully due to her delicate nature. They left the spa went to a restaurant and had lunch it has been a while since Tina went outside socially and that brightened her up and made her look very jovial. Jimmy then took them home where Tina went to sleep after changing her clothing she was tired it had been a long day and she needed to look fresh tomorrow during the christening.

Lily and Jimmy went for a walk in the park since the house was a beehive of activities and sat on a bench at the park they had a lot to catch up but Jimmy’s phone rang and it was Ken looking for him when he answered Ken sounded anxious “Where are you men, come into the lounge quickly we need you.” Jimmy was wondering what could be the matter and told Lily that they were required urgently and they went back almost running because they feared the worst. When they went back to the house Jimmy was almost panting and Lewis and Ken looked at one another and burst into laughter I told you and they greeted one another high five. They were glad that Jimmy came alone so they could tease him now. Jimmy got angry what are you laughing at men “you cannot keep your hands to yourself, he winked you will not be able to accomplish or break my baby's mother's heart before their christening so keep your hands to yourself for now. Jimmy was annoyed and knowing how annoying his friend can be he grinned and said you have such a corrupt mind. Lewis who was quiet for some time kindly help us in tasting which is the best wine that can be used tomorrow you are good at a wine tasting. 

The wine was put in several glasses and Jimmy choose two he thought were mature and sweet and the taste was heavenly. Mm, I love this wine it tastes nice not so sweet, and has the right aroma and if you look at the manufacturing date it has matured well. The wine supplier was given the order and they were now set for the christening the following day which would happen midday then luncheon and later dance and drinks for those who wanted to stay. They went to have their dinner early and everybody slept early since they were tired and awaited the christening day.

In the morning Lily was awoken by Jimmy woke up sleepy head we have a long day ahead of us today. Let's go have breakfast first then we shower and change this house will be a beehive full of activities from the decorators and the caterers and you don’t want to cross their path. Tina was brought her breakfast in bed by one of the nurses who checked her wound and blood pressure and all was well. She was anxious but calmed down you don’t worry all will go well, mama. Thanked the nurse and went to shower but the lady insisted she’ll assist her in showering and when she came out of the shower her beautician was there with her make–up the team. She was joined by Lily and they applied their make up dressed up and now left to see the babies and how they had been dressed.

When they entered the nursery Tina felt like crying seeing the most beautiful angels in sky blue and silver bunny baby wear and they were adorable. Tina kissed their forehead and thanked the nanny for being so efficient. They were joined by the daddy and godfather who said that the priest was waiting for them to start the ceremony and the family was present and some few guests. The family wanted the christening ceremony to be an intimate affair but at the luncheon, some friends and business associates were invited. The priest baptized the babies blessing them and the names as provided by their father were Eric and Eddie King Junior. After the priest left and photos are taken they were directed to the venue. 

There was a blue table that was magnificently decorated in blue with a silver table spread with a white dove engraved in it symbolizing peace. There were two white bears placed conveniently at the edge white candles were light and the blue and silver balloons brought out a beautiful view. The white background with blue stars on the white curtain has been stuck with blue stars stickers and blue satin clothes made a sight to behold. There were two small blue cakes with white and silver sprinkles and chocolate balls stuck on a stick like a lollipop with a blue coating and a white sprinkle. There were other blue and white candy’s served on a blue plate and chocolate cake pops with white sprinkles.

The people enjoyed lunch and ate to their fill and the babies were taken back to the nursery to rest their tired mum the rest were left enjoying music and drinks until late in the evening when everybody left except t]for the catering team who took the leftovers and organized the house accordingly.
