THE COUNTRY HOME VACATION

Tina and Lily called Sally when they went back in the office and they put the speaker on “Sally answered with the second ring and the ladies said in unison hello mum they called her “Hello my girls”, how are you doing? they replied together fine mama we are doing okay how’s dad? your father is fine but missing meeting his girls and grandkids. Mum Lily said can I talk to you, better sit because you will get tired, then Sally panicked is everything okay the girls assured her all is well. Mum, we want to visit the farmhouse this holiday and hold a surprise birthday party for Ken there. We wanted to come the whole family plus the Kings and Lewis. Everyone wants to take a break from the hectic street life in the city to the tranquil breeze, peace, and quiet and the kids would love to see their Grandpa and grandma and learn more about horses. 

Sally Parker was very excited about the news and said then plan when you are coming to organize someone to pick you up this house needed some warmth and the house is too big for the two of us can’t wait for the grandkids to come and make some noise here and warm up the farm. Okay mama we will call you when we organize to come don’t worry about cooking we will come with some help and sort everything up. Okay but don’t worry we have room for everyone so don’t leave anyone out. Say hello to dad, Sally replied he has gone to the farm at least he walks and supervising keeps him occupied.

The ladies planned for the trip and informed the rest of a dinner they were having at Ken’s homestead. Tina said we have something to tell you me and Lily and I planned it but it's now the time to request you guys to sail in our boat. Everybody now became attentive including the kids and listened. Tina continued, “We have been having the last few holidays here in the city, we thought why don’t we take this holiday vacation to the ranch and let's enjoy the farmhouse life and visit our parents for the holiday? We talked to them and they are eager to wait for us to go as the whole family including granny and grandpa. The kids asked we are going to the ranches where we find cowboys yes Lily replied we have cowboys, the horses and you learn how to ride a pony. Yeah the boys shouted excited we are going ride the horse like a cowboy then Eric asked mummy are you going to get us cowboy boots and hurt yes my darling I will get you the cowboy clothing and you will dress like real cowboys they were all excited and requested to leave the table and go to play. When the kids left Mr. King said it's nice you take a break from work you need to rest and Lewis might get a wife there everybody laughed about it and they started planning their trip. They were excited they would take a break and the farmhouse sounded exciting.

The family prepares themselves for one month they called sally and organized the logistics together with the ranch manager Ricky who Sally gave Lily his contract because he was more informed about country life and could assist in advice and logistics. The family took a private jet and landed at the nearest airport which was about 50km away from the ranch. They found Ricky waiting for them in his truck and two more trucks to carry them and their luggage.  The kids were more than excited when especially passed through the diverse and beautiful landscape. They passed through other ranches which had fast land with exclusive serene, remote, quiet, and protected wilderness. The scenic nature of the vast spectacular desert landscape comprised scenic, unique and diverse landscape with no end but a tranquil scene.

The journey on the rough dusty road took the tough all-weather trucks about 30 minutes drive and within no time they were guests at the Ranch and found granny and grandpa Parker waiting for them. The kids alighted fast and couldn’t hide their excitement and they hugged their grandparents hard and just wanted to go and tour the staple. They gave the farm manager Ricky a hard time putting up with them but it was exciting at the same time having kids to run up and down and the house as granny said became warm.

The kids slept in grandma’s house the boys had their room and the girl shared with the nanny the two couples went to sleep in the guest room just outside they didn’t want to be confined in the parents’ house and could be limited especially when making love because the weather in the farmhouse was conducive for lovemaking or maybe making another baby and did not want to disrupt their parents when they went out. The other helpers they came with plus the security had another house where they spent their nights. The mood was very jovial for everyone and they couldn’t wait for their time on the ranch.

The Kings family had chosen this tie to spend their holiday at the ranch where you could appreciate nature, breathe the scent of natural wood, and vegetation, and calm and serenity become their friend as they were surrounded by enchanting landscape while holding a drink of wine or whisky and can put on some cowboys tunes and dance to the music while watching the trees dance and swinging to the music as directed by the moving wind and the birds bringing out their melodious songs while enjoying the sun setting in the horizon. When they arrived they were given fresh fruit juice and then told dinner would be served shortly they took a shower and changed into comfortable attire and they had a roasted steak dinner with roasted potatoes and salad and enjoyed dinner looking at the beautiful mountains warming themselves up in the cool evening breeze with a bonfire which was lit by the wood gotten from the ranch it was cool the adults had wine to warm them up and then when the kids slept and were tucked in they went to the guest house to sleep.
