THE PLEASANT SURPRISE DINNER FOR THE LADIES

Tina knew that it was Ken’s birthday and he had never had a birthday celebration and now this was his 40th birthday she had wanted to do something special for his birthday and now was the time to treat her lover and also the loving father of her sons. One of the twins Eddie had asked her, mum when is daddy’s birthday we have never celebrated any, Tina had replied they would celebrate daddy’s birthday this year but it’s a surprise so please this to be between us we don’t want dad to know.

Tina consulted her best friend Lily one day they were in the office and asked about her opinion. Lily was excited yah that would be fun we have not had a party or family fun lately and the kids have grown up now, the girl princess was five years and the boys heading to seven and they needed something that would excite them since it was school holidays and spent most of the holiday at home playing. The ladies were busy in the King’s fashion house Tina being the president and Lily the vice president. Tina was the brand designer and Lily run the business and marketing the cloth line. They had discussed how they need to host a fashion show before the year ends. Tina had one-day thought of the fashion show since she currently she had sold out the previous brands and needed to make a new collection but to open the creative genius she needed some excitement or something to trigger happiness in herself and the whole family. 

Her dad Parker and mum had now aged a bit and they had returned to the farmland in the west a farm they had inherited from one of their maternal aunties. The Parkers choose a quiet life in the farmland and called their two daughters frequently asking them to send the grandkids to the farmhouse to visit them there and also enjoy the country life, especially at this time they were on holiday. It was also approaching the Christmas season and Tina thought visiting the family during the festive season would be ideal and they can enjoy the holiday together as a family in a different location. They needed the break so visiting the farmland was on her bucket list. She had thought about making a visit to the grannies and also the kids wanted a break from the capital life and visit the farmhouse and see, explore and enjoy the quiet family life and have fun. She decided it would be discussed outside the office and one day she invited Lily for lunch in a new Italian restaurant that she had admired while they were driving to work every day it looked beautiful from the outside so she wanted to explore. She had told her assistant to book a table for two in the new restaurant and wanted to treat her sister to dine outside, take a breather, and discuss their visit to see the aging Parkers.

Tina went to Lily’s office she was just winding up a meeting with the production team when Tina walked in. Then Tina looked at her and asked her why she looked tense Lily said she has been working hard since they had an order which was massive and had to supervise to confirm the production team had worked round the clock to finish knighting and there previously had been a problem with the fabric they brought a different color from what was ordered but they had sorted the issue out and now the few remaining pieces were being sparked to be shipped on time that’s why she had been tense.

Tina noted that they had been stressed for some time and knew that today afternoon would be a day to relax. She told Lily to pack her things girl you have an afternoon off. She took the initiative to call Jimmy, hello brother Tina used to call Jimmy and he replied hello sister what honor do I owe you to receive a call? Jimmy asked, to the honor that you are my brother-in-law and my kid's godparent. Just wanted to ask you a favor I am snatching Lily from you this afternoon and need her to rewind she has been so tight and two are you with Ken? She asked he replied I just stepped out”, ok she said I wanted to throw him a surprise 40th birthday party and I will be needing your assistance with big brother the way they used to refer to Lewis in this matter. Jimmy replied, okay sister noted and that would be fine we need to loosen up a bit too much work and I will talk to Lewis about your plan with Lily and tell us how you would want us to help you we will, of course, do it willingly. Then she heard Ken's voice what plans are you having that Tina is online and Jimmy was smart enough to change the subject and said it’s all about the upcoming fashion show we have contact with other clients who are in fashion and she needs our assistance. It is that so why didn’t she just ask me to let me talk to her Ken took the phone hi darling are you fine what is this about the fashion show you didn’t tell me? Tina was smart enough to reply we were discussing some with Lily's clients then she mentioned that Jimmy knew them so I was just asking him to introduce us to them. Are you fine we are going out for lunch with Lily and then for a spa treatment so I might be a bit late? Ken said no problem I got you the boys will have a fun time with daddy have to play games with them. Tina was happy and said, " Have fun, boys will see you later, " and disconnected the phone.

The ladies left for lunch and had delicious pork ribs, roasted potatoes, and a glass of wine and they went for a sauna and steam bath to let the steam off and later a massage treatment including the hair, pedicure, and manicure. The girls had not treated themselves for so long and they were feeling exhausted. What they didn’t know is their men had decided today they will treat their girls to dinner so they were waiting for them to come out of the spa room and had sent fresh evening clothes for them to wear of course they had gotten them from the King’s fashion house and given the beautician Janice to pass to them to wear on their dinner date.

When the ladies were finished with the spa feeling fresh and rejuvenated they were surprised that Janice brought them a new dress, not the previous one they were dinner dresses, and the ladies had not planned to be going out for dinner. Of course, Tina knowing Ken very well thought he was behind this. So Tina asked if this is our collection but we never ordered the dresses. Janice replied its compliments from two handsome admirers waiting for you down in the reception if I were you girls I would dress up seat on this chair and let Janice make you look beautiful to be taken out. It’s the high time you had some fun too. The girls got the message dressed up their faces made up and used some perfume that was in Tina’s bag she used and knew Ken loved the fragrance of it and decided wow today is the day I seduce my husband we have not gone out for fun in many days. It works and the kids. The ladies walked confidently, and when they arrived, the gentlemen had already sorted their bill. When the ladies saw Tina and Lily being hugged they knew the guys were already taken so they would try their luck elsewhere.

Ken held his hands Tina and they left hand in hand when they arrived at the parking lot Ken kissed Tina like they had not been together for a century. The couple even forgot they had company but Jimmy had driven himself so they boarded their car and drove off to the dinner venue he knew the lovebirds might take some time to come and true to the word these two lovebirds when Ken opened the car for his husband he also adjusted the seat to bend down and when Tina entered the car instead of going to the frovrs side he also got on the car which was now a bed and started kissing her.
