When they finally retraced their steps to the previous path, they took the right tunnel this time, hoping for better luck. The walk was short, but once again, they found themselves at a dead end. However, this wall was different—it looked almost identical to the outer walls of the pack’s territory.

Enzo facepalmed, utterly fed up. They had been wandering through these tunnels for nearly an hour, and the barely functioning lights were starting to wear on his nerves. His patience was hanging by a thread. He turned to Adeline, about to make a rude remark, but before he could say anything, she walked right past him.

Adeline approached the wall, tracing her fingers over the rough surface as if searching for something specific. She paused, nodded to herself, and glanced briefly at Enzo. “This is it.”
