Adeline squinted at the floor, her brows knitting together as she tried to remember something. After a few moments, her face lit up with realization, and she snapped her fingers. “Ah! I think I know why,” she said, nodding her head. “From what I remember, my father told me this tunnel goes underground and leads back up to both entrances or exits. So, my guess is, we’re beneath the pack now.”

Enzo frowned, still not entirely convinced. He walked over to the wall, tapping it lightly with his knuckles and listening closely to the sound. It felt solid and thick, but not impossibly so. He turned back to her, his expression skeptical. “Underground? Really? I didn’t feel us going downhill or anything. It felt like a flat road the whole time.”
