15 Stupid

Enzo’s lips twisted into a grin, clearly enjoying this back-and-forth. He tilted his head slightly, his usual cocky demeanor coming through as he spoke. “Sure, I could’ve just answered you. But where’s the fun in that? I enjoy seeing you act stupid.”

Adeline’s brow furrowed, her gaze dropping down to her wrist, where his hand still held her. Her voice was calm, but there was an edge to it. “Let go of me, Enzo. Or else.”

The challenge in her voice was impossible for him to resist. Instead of releasing her, he tightened his grip, his grin widening. “Or else what?” He asked with a mocking tone, “You going to throw a bigger stone this time?”

Adeline’s eyes squinted, watching him intently. She was clearly thinking of something. After a pause, she cleared her throat, her expression shifting into one of mock seriousness. “Oh well, I warned you,” she said softly. And then, without hesitation, she yelled, "Help!" This man is abusing me!”
