16 Pathway

Enzo and Adeline stood in the shadows outside the Crimson Pack’s tall walls. Enzo paced restlessly, his brows furrowed in deep thought as he tried to figure out how they would sneak into the pack unnoticed. His eyes darted over to the large gate; so far, it was the only possible way they could get in. They couldn't climb over the wall either; it was insanely thick.

Meanwhile, Adeline leaned lazily against a nearby tree, absently twirling a strand of her hair between her fingers. After what felt like forever, she let out an exaggerated groan. “Are we seriously just going to stand here all day?” she asked, her voice full of impatience. “It’s been almost an hour.”

Enzo froze midstep, his entire body tensing up. His head snapped toward her, and for a moment, there was a twitch in his eye as he forced a smile, one that barely hid his irritation. He stalked over to where she stood.
