Mason's POV

I watched her fall apart in my arms as the doctor tried his best to calm her down but suddenly, she stopped and became silent after he gave her the injection.

"Will she be alright?" I held her body in my arms tighter while Damien looked away. I looked at his line of sight to see Vivian but at this moment she was the least of my worries.

Even family ties seem to be a thin thread when it affects her now.

I looked down at the woman in my arms whose lips were pursed and her forehead furrowed in pain. It looked like she was having a dream and I wondered what it's all about.

"Something seems to be wrong with her," the doctor said and I rolled my eyes.

"What's wrong?"

He shook his head and his expression became blank.

"No, that's not what I mean sir. I mean there is something wrong that I can't explain. I have to take her blood back for tests. I have checked her eyes and they seem to be fine but-" he hesitated before looking into his bag quickly like i'd snatch it from him if h
