Chapter Seventy Five

Mason's POV

I walked out of the store. I was told she was here but it turned out to be a lie or maybe she left after all. My eyes had obvious eye bags under them as I've been running around the city since the day before without getting any rest. I called her phone for the umpteenth time but I got the same reply. The line wasn't available.

I raised my hand to rub my face as I stood in front of the store with a sigh escaping my lips. I could feel the cool air hit my suited up body but it didn't seem to relieve the stress and it seemed every route was just another way of letting myself down. I should better go back to the crazy couple. That's my last option and they might know where she is.

I walked back to the car and opened the driver seat to get in as I've sent the driver home already. I was the only one roaming the dead silent street so early in the morning. After driving for five minutes, I got to the familiar company once again and I brought one leg out of the car as I saw workers
