I stood beside Mason as he picked up his call with a frown on his face, the words said on the phone were audible to me even though the phone wasn't pressed to my ear.

Looks like some past have to dig themselves up even when you try to shut them down.

"The truth would be out soon. You think your sister won't know about your evil deeds, don't think so mighty of yourself that you are that clean Mason Brown..
