Chapter 5

I stayed with Granny Fisher for two months to heal.

Since the fishing village had no internet, I had no idea what was happening outside of the village.

I didn't know if Charlie was looking for me after I disappeared. But honestly, I didn't care anymore. My focus was solely on regaining my health—only after that could I truly return and seek justice.

Two months later, I unwrapped the bandages from my face and looked in the mirror for the first time. Fiona had inflicted serious injuries on my face. Although Granny Fisher's remedies were effective, mottled scars still remained.

Granny Fisher looked at my face, sighing regretfully. "Such a beautiful face… It's a shame about those scars. What a tragedy."

I touched the uneven marks and smiled faintly. "It's alright. I'll remember this face as a reminder of all they did to me."

Once I had fully recovered, I bid Granny Fisher a temporary farewell and returned to the city that had once caused me so much pain. The city was unchanged,
