Before they left, Charlie looked at me with a hint of confusion. "Have we met somewhere before? The moment you walked in, I felt a strange sense of familiarity."

I chuckled softly. "Maybe we knew each other in a past life."

He laughed, brushing off the thought, while Fiona shot me another withering glare and grabbed his arm to hurry him along.

Watching them walk away, I smirked coldly. Perhaps we did know each other in another life. After all, I've already lived and died once.

Back at home, I accepted Charlie's contact request. He hadn't reached out yet, but I wasn't in any rush. For now, the best approach was to engineer a few more "coincidental" encounters, as getting too close too quickly might put him off.

A few days later, Charlie was invited to an event—one hosted by me. When he spotted me there, his eyes lit up with pleasant surprise.
