Having lived through two distinct phases of life and interacted with a myriad of people, ranging from the powerful to the downtrodden, she had never encountered anyone quite like Parker. Even after spending three hours drinking and conversing with him, she found it impossible to discern his true nature or get a sense of his character.

Dominic chuckled and shook his head reassuringly. "In reality, he's quite a simple person. Don't stress over it too much. He's not one to readily hand out his business card, but if you ever need anything, just give him a call."

The weight of the business card was apparent not only in its physical appearance but also in the knowledge that the person who had given it to her could bring along dozens of armed police officers, adding to its impressive aura.

"Oh dear!" Kathy suddenly realized a major concern. "How are we going to drive back after drinking? Let me arrange for a driver."
