Chapter ninety eight

Kathy and Dominic swiftly settled back into their seats.

"Why are you back again?" Dominic sighed, addressing Wilson.

Wilson chuckled as though he had missed the previous exchange entirely. "Brother, I just came to inform you that I'm leaving. Gotta make an appearance before calling it a day, right?"

"You don't need to announce your departure to me every time," Dominic remarked, waving his hand dismissively.

Wilson departed with a smile, even winking at Kathy before exiting.

Once the door closed, Dominic's demeanor soured.

"What's the matter?" Kathy, still a bit flustered from the recent interaction with Dominic, her face flushed, asked.

"Why is your face red?" Dominic inquired coolly, studying Kathy.

Kathy suddenly tensed. "What?"

"It's nothing. Let's head home," Dominic said, shaking his head, letting out a sigh, and guiding Kathy out of the teahouse.

Kathy glanced up at the sign of the establishment, "Clear Wind and Bright Moon," finding it apt for the ambiance of the show house.
