Chapter Six

Tristan Williams squinted as the sharp morning rays of light pierced through the large windows, hitting his face and forcing his eyes to narrow against the brightness.

He shifted in the large king-sized bed, his head throbbing at his temples, as he tried to piece together everything from the previous night.

“You are finally awake.” Brian, his assistant, murmured, as his feet gently approached him.

Brian furrowed his brows, his voice dropping with frustration. “I was worried to death. If you hadn't received help from that woman, who knows what would have happened?...” he clasped his hand over his mouth at the realization that he had revealed too much.

“Who's she?” Tristan's cold voice asked.

“Huh?” Brian's eyes widened. He shouldn't have talked about her.

“You know how much I hate repeating myself.” He scowled.
