“You have to hide So,stay here and don't speak” His mother's trembling voice rang in his ears.
The feel of her cold clammy palms on his skinny arms showed how panicked she was feeling.
“Mama, I'm scared” little Silas whispered, gripping his mother tightly, not wanting to let her go.
“Mama has a visitor outside, stay here with your sister okay? Once I'm done talking to them I will come pick you up okay?” Gianna said shakily, rubbing the little boy’s black curls in a bid to soothe his scared spirit.
“Okay Mama, promise?” He asked In a childish voice.
“Good , make sure you and your sister does not make any noise”
Gianna added and closed the wardrobe, hiding the two children.
Once his mother was gone,Silas stared at his little sister who was slumbering quietly beside him, their was absolute silence in the wardrobe except for the rapid beating of his heart.
“Mama” there was a sniveling sound, the little girl's eyes popped open as she stared at her older brother .
“Mama is out there, she would come pick us soon” Silas consoled, trying to make the little girl keep her mouth shut, after all, he had promised their mother.
“I want mama, waaa!” The little girl cried loudly, thrashing around the wardrobe which barely had any space in it.
The door of the wardrobe succumbed to her crashing and creaked open loudly.
The little girl stood up and hurried out of the wardrobe with a cry of ‘Mama’.
Silas ran after his sister in a panic “Desire!” He chased after her.
The first thing he saw was the blood splattered on the floor and all over the walls of the house.
“Mama!”
Silas gasped, raising his head from the pillow, sweat rolling down his forehead to his neck, the ash singlet he was wearing was already soaked.
When he realized that it was just a dream, he heaved a sigh of relief, with shaky steps, he stood up from the bed and walked to the picture that was placed on the only table In his large room.
He caressed the glass carefully, a tender but firm look in his eyes.
“Don't worry mum, Dad and sister, I'm going to make sure that I wipe off all the rogues, this world is going to be free of those vile creatures”
…
Ayra cracked her eyes open, wincing at the pain that wrecked through her body.
On remembering the last events that had transpired before she lost consciousness, she panicked and stood up, realizing that she was lying on a cold, hard wet floor which was what she expected.
She winced and stretched her neck and hands, this was accompanied with the rattling sound of chains.
Ayra pulled harshly at the chains that had probably been nailed to the walls of the dungeon she was locked in and was rewarded with the sizzling sound of her flesh.
Werewolves were creatures with supernatural strength therefore ordinary metal wasn't able to hold them down so the chain was made with silver with the aim to limit the movement of werewolves and prevent them from escaping.
“No need trying to break them, they were made with the highest grade silver” A voice said from the outside part of the dungeon that was dark.
Ayra growled out “let me go, it was a mistake that I trespassed into your territory”.
There was a slight chuckle “but my Alpha doesn't understand that, it's pack rules and we all have to obey them, all Rogues that have trespassed into the Moon Crest pack would face judgement and if found guilty would finally face death though I know that in your case it would be death as the Alpha has been feeling so cranky recently” his ominous tone made Ayracs breath to hitch in her chest.
She had been a rogue wolf for 2 years now and though she had faced a lot of threatening situation but on one was as life threatening and serious as this.
She had heard whispers about the Moon Crest pack, it was a pack that a lot of rogues feared, respected and loathed at the same time.
Their Alpha was known for his blood thirsty behavior and his hatred for rogues and anything alike.
“You will die, just like the others before you”.
…
“Alpha, there's an urgent message from the warriors for you” Silas perked up immediately heard the voice of his Beta, Levi.
“Really Levi, we need to do something about your over excitedment” Silas said, tapping his nail tip on the table top.
“A female rogue was found at the border, it seems like she had broken into the pack by mistake” Levi informed
“And?... capture her of course, have you forgotten the rules?” Silas asked in an irritated tone.
“She has already been captured and is in the dungeon now but….the warriors want to know what will actually happen to her, they are still waiting on your orders” Levi said hurriedly.
Silas furrowed his brows, his fingers rubbing on the last night stubble that had grown on his jaw.
“She will be executed tomorrow by 3 pm and I personally will be the one to oversee her execution” Silas said, his eyes lightening up in excitement.
He was always this excited whenever a rogue was about to die in his hands.
This was because each time he killed one, he was assured that their was one less rogue in the world and it gave him peace.
“Huh!? But you can't do that without taking her to the council court to be tried, maybe she hasn't killed anyone or…what if she is an innocent rogue?” Levi asked worriedly making Silas eyes to flare up.
“An innocent rogue?, this is my first time hearing such an absurd thing as that” Silas strode up from the chair he was sitting on, his purple eyes blazing red.
His fists were clenched and blood flowing down from where he had pierced himself with his claws which were popping out.
“Rogues are rogues, no matter whether they were newly turned or not, no rogue does not kill, all of them are evil and a lot of blood are on their hands” Silas growled.
Levi huddled at a corner, shivering in fear, he couldn't wrap his head around the fact that his Alpha had gone mad at a statement he had just made.
“I'm sorry sir, I will make sure to keep that in mind” Levi whispered.
Silas sighed, running his hands through his hair, tousling the mass of shiny black curls
“Go and get ready for the execution, I will do it myself tomorrow”
