Ayra didn't know how long she had spent in this dungeon but she knew that it wasn't long but the torture of staying in a place confined with silver chain and having to deal with hunger and healing wounds made her feel as if she had spent hundreds of years in this place.

“Can I have some water?” Ayra called out weakly, her lips were chapped from lack of water and food, Ayra could feel her tongue drying slowly.

There was no reply, this had been the situation since she was locked up, no one spoke to her and no one replied when she spoke.

There was the sound of shoes hitting on the ground, followed by the rattling of keys.

Ayra perked up when she heard that sound, her eyes shining in excitement at the thought of freedom.

The door of the dungeon opened with a loud creak sound and a blonde haired man wearing a look of disgust in his face walked towards Ayra slowly “Don't dare to try anything funny Rogue” He spat at her.

With his keys, he unlocked the chains around her hands and legs

Ayra almost moaned at the feeling of the chains leaving her body.

“Remember what I said” he reminded again.

He roughly pulled the weekend Ayra up, hooking another silver chain on her neck “this will keep you from going mad” he spat.

He used the chain and pulled her towards the door roughly .

They walked through the corridors of the dark dungeon silently, Ayra couldn't see very well in the dark because her werewolf sight had been weakened by the silver chain but the warrior who was pulling her was able to see clearly so she leaned on him, relying on him to take her out.

Once they were outside, the feel of the sunshine radiating on her skin and the harshness of it's light on her eyes, though harsh was happily welcomed .

But she didn't get to enjoy the lovely sight for a long time before a blindfold was pulled over her face, harshly covering her eyes.

Then she felt her mouth being covered too.

Great! She was now temporarily blind and dumb.

“Silas, you have refused my mother's invitations to dinner countless times, you aren't refusing it anymore” Vanessa said, plopping down on the large queen bed in Silas room.

Silas who was buttoning up the buttons of his chest paused, his fingers caressing the detailed sigil of a howling wolf that had been etched on the button “I have an execution today, in a few hours” he said coldly, Silas might have the patience for a lot of things and a lot of people but Vanessa, his fiancee clearly wasn't one of them.

“Well after that what else do you have to do, nothing right?, just keeping yourself cooped up in your office signing documents after documents, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” Vanessa replied, she stood up from the bed and strutted towards Silas, she leaned on his chest and took his hands into hers.

“They are really important documents that need my attention,” he said.

Vanessa sighed and helped knot the tie around his neck.

“Next week then, and it's a must, no more Grace” She said in a low tone, her hands carelessly placed on his chest

Silas brushed her hands off his chest “That is if I have nothing doing”

He picked up the file on the table and left the room, closing the door softly.

Once he was out of sight, the look in Vanessa’s eyes changed.

She had been engaged to Silas for 3 years now and he hadn't for one day gone with her to see her family members.

Though she was from another pack and had managed to become Silas finance through the connections of the elders in her win pack but she had begun to feel ashamed at the fact that her fiance didn't like her.

“No matter what happens Silas, you are going to be mine” she whispered with gritted teeth, her eyes glinting with a cunning light.

When the blind fold was finally pulled off Ayra’s eyes, the scene she saw wasn't quite what she was expecting at all.

There was a crowd of murmuring and disapproved werewolves.

Composed of both female and males but no children, Ayra was standing on top of a wooden makeshift stage that told her that she wasn't here for child's play.

“This is the rogue that was found trespassing Into the pack borders yesterday” the warrior who had led her up the stage said in a loud voice eliciting more murmurs from the crowd of adult werewolves.

“So the Alpha would carry out a public execution on her just as the law demands” He added.

Ayra’s breath was hooked on hearing ‘execution’.

She wanted to speak up and defend herself but the piece of cloth that had been tied around her mouth prevented her from doing so.

‘What else do you want to say, are you not a rogue?, didn't you trespass into their pack grounds?’ A voice inside her head said sarcastically .

Just then there was absolute silence around and then murmurings of ‘Alpha’ filled the air.

Just as Ayra was about to raise her head, she was but with the most mouthwatering and welcomed scent ever.

The scent of Grapes and wild berries with a tinge of cinnamon filled her nose.

It reminded her of when she was back in the pack with her parents, when they were still alive and no one treated her badly.

A tear slipped from her eyes, just as the growl of ‘Mate’ escaped her lips.

Silas had been searching for his mate for a very long time and he didn't expect that he would find her today and that she was going to be the rogue he was going to execute today.

His mate turned out to be a rogue, a class of werewolves that he loathed so much

It seemed that the more you hated something, the more you have that thing.

No! He didn't want her, she should be killed but she was his….

“Mate?”
